How much exercise will I be expected to do?
That depends a little on your goals, but exercise will definitely be an important part of your weight loss journey. Once you sign up to Shrinked you’ll have access to exercise plans suited to different levels of experience and fitness levels. Through the training you will also be guided through a gradual increase in your level of activity, starting with a focus on increasing movement and then looking at specific exercise plans. This approach can take you from the couch to a daily dose of activity by the time you complete the training!
How do I join?

What if I just want to be healthier, not lose weight?
Whether you would like to lose weight, improve your overall health, or even maintain weight loss that you have already achieved, Shrinked can assist you with this. Shrinked will give you the neuroscience, psychology, and medical science that you need to be aware of to support your health related goals. Whatever your goals are, your brain is going to play an integral role in achieving them because your brain is where all of your decisions are made and habits are formed. Through Shrinked you can build a better understanding of how to take control of your brain and your health.
Why do I have to choose my own meal and exercise plan?
At Shrinked we are very aware that there is no such thing as the perfect diet, but there is the diet that’s perfect for you! For that reason we think it’s important that you have options in the approach you take to diet and exercise. After all, it’s YOUR weight loss journey! You can choose to bring your own diet to Shrinked and follow a diet and exercise plan that has been prescribed by your health practitioner or from another reputable source. You can use the Diet Matching Questionnaire and recommendations that you will have access to once you sign up for Shrinked to help you choose your approach to diet. Finally, you will have access to the Shrinked diet and exercise plans which are designed to provide very clear guidelines, with different options for varying levels of energy intake in relation to diet, and fitness and experience levels for the exercise plans. As with all elements of the Shrinked training, our diet and exercise plans have been designed and developed by trained professionals.
Do I need to have a printer?
There are a number of materials that you will be provided with in electronic format as a part of your Shrinked training. You may chose to complete these pages online and save them to your device, or you may chose to print them. All of the Shrinked materials are printer friendly and designed with enough space for handwriting.
What help is available?
Each week of your 14-week Shrinked training you will gain access to new videos delivered by Dr Ali or one of the Shrinked team. In addition to this detailed video assistance, you will receive supporting material each week. On top of this, you will be able to contact the Shrinked team through the online forum, and they will answer your questions directly.
What if I become ill or my medical circumstances change while taking part in Shrinked?
If you become ill or your medical circumstances change while taking part in Shrinked you should consult with your treating health practitioner and ask for their opinion on how best to manage your health. You will still be able to work through the Shrinked training and learn from and apply all of the information that you are given, however, depending on which diet and exercise plans you have chosen to use, you will need to seek advice from your doctor as to whether these need to change at all. The information and resources that you receive through the Shrinked training will still be available and useful for you to learn from.
Can I pause my subscription while I go on holiday?
You can unsubscribe from your Shrinked membership at any time and then subscribe again when you are ready to get started again!
Is it ok to do the program twice?
Absolutely! Once you sign up you’ll have ongoing access to the Shrinked training and content for as long as you are subscribed, and once you’ve completed the training you are free to go back over the parts of the course that you want to focus on more to support ongoing weight loss, or even to repeat the whole course! You will have access to Shrinked for as long as you membership is current!
Is Shrinked designed for men and women?
In a word, yes! The information, plans and tools you will have access to once you start on your Shrinked journey are designed to help men and women lose and maintain weight. We understand that different approaches may work better for women or men though, so some of the resources that you’ll find will be specifically designed with men or women in mind.
Will Shrinked assist me to maintain the weight loss I achieve?
If you’re here to lose weight we’re assuming that once you’ve lost it, you never want to gain that weight back again! For this reason maintenance strategies are an important part of your Shrinked journey. Once you hit your goals you can also get ongoing support by continuing beyond the initial training with Shrinked for Life, the Shrinked maintenance package.
How is Shrinked different to other approaches to weight loss?
Eat less and exercise more, that’s all that matters right? Wrong! A lot of weight loss plans focus solely on diet or exercise (sometimes both). These are important considerations, but they miss the key component that governs all of your decisions – your brain. Shrinked has been designed by Psychologists and Neuroscientists to assist you to understand your brain, how it works and how to change it to create new and helpful habits to support your weight loss journey. Most people have a pretty good understanding of what to eat and how to exercise. We focus on your brain and the skills people can use to change their thoughts, attitudes, actions and habits to support your weight loss goals.

Will my credit card details be safe if I join online?

How do I cancel my subscription?
Just click on the ‘Cancel Subscription’ button located on the ‘My Program’ page of the website here. You can rejoin at any time by logging back in and clicking the ‘Subscribe Again’ button on the ‘My Program’ page.
Who is Shrinked for?
We know how frustrating weight loss and maintenance can be, so Shrinked has been designed as a holistic approach to weight loss. The Shrinked training is designed to focus on the skills and knowledge that assist habit change and can transform your relationship with food. It is not a quick fix to help you drop weight quickly. If you are frustrated with weight cycling, haven’t found an approach to weight management that feels like a good fit, or you’re starting out on your weight loss journey and you want an approach that will focus on the physical and psychological components of weight loss, then Shrinked is for you.
Can I meet other people following Shrinked?
The best way to get to know other people who are on the Shrinked journey is through the Shrinked Forum! Once you have signed up you will have full access to the forum which will allow you to interact with other Shrinkers as well as the Shrinked team to ask questions, share your experiences and stay inspired and motivated.
What happens when I finish the training?
We know that different people have different goals in relation to how much weight they want to lose and how quickly they will lose that weight. For many people achieving their goal weight will take longer than the 14 weeks of the initial training. For that reason you will have access to the 14 week Shrinked training course for as long as you are subscribed. This means that you can go back to repeat certain modules, or even the whole training course for continued support as you work towards your goals. Beyond the initial 14 weeks you will gain access to Shrinked for Life, the Shrinked maintenance package. Not only will this give you ongoing access to the Shrinked training and forum, it will unlock the Shrinked for Life maintenance resources, giving you access to new regular videos and a wealth of maintenance information to help you continue your progress towards your goal weight, or help you to develop skills to maintain your weight!
