I’m so happy in my still emerging new me. I’m 15 kgs lighter and I’ve really enjoyed the Shrinked journey so far. Although it’s graduation time, I’m not ready yet for maintenance as I’m still on my Shrinked journey and looking forward to the next 12 weeks of review, consolidation and weight loss.
Thank you for the wonderful program.:)Patricia DaleParticipantJuly 9, 2016 at 2:53 pm
Congratulations Mireille. That is one great achievement. You will be feeling all sorts of advantages as well as the actual weight loss.A 15 kgm loss is such an excellent result, and you must feel so proud of yourself.
It sounds as though you are wanting to loose some more weight yet Mireille, but take a short time to enjoy the new you and reflect on the changes you have already made in your relationship with food. Then when you are ready set yourself some new goals.Reflect on situations that you were finding hard and plan strategies for these situations.I think one of the most important things is to remember to still keep up with the basics;-
Eat your regular meals, don’t miss any meals out
Plan your meals and food shopping in plenty of time
Keep your water intake up
Weigh yourself once a week
Reflect at the end of each day on how you have gone, and, if there were any problems, decide what you can do in that situation next time to achieve your desired result
Keep up your walking and muscle strengthening exercises
So, once again congratulations. Keep us up to date with how you are going.

Hello Dr Pat,
Thank you for the congratulations. I’m very proud of my achievement so far but so frightened to lose my momentum. Thanks for the excellent advice on how to move forward.Hoping to make the most of all I’ve learnt during the past 14 weeks.

How are things going? Have you started and planned your next 12 weeks? It is always a good thing to go through the program again because you can pick up on techniques you may have missed initially, or there may have been other more pressing things to work on the first time round.Let us know where you are at.

Hello Dr Pat,
I’m persevering and following my programme, keeping up with water intake, regular walks and exercice, but the last 2 weeks have been a little frustrating because my weight seems to be stuck:(Patricia DaleParticipantSeptember 8, 2016 at 4:31 am
My sincerest apologies for my tardiness in not replying sooner.
There are several reasons why this problem can happen. Sometimes it is due to a period of adjustment in your body when you have had a significant weight loss, the important thing was you weren’t putting weight on. Let me know what your current situation is . Have you started loosing weight again? If not we will further discuss options . Looking forward to hearing your reply.
Once again my apologies for this late response.

Hi Dr Pat,
I persevered for another couple of weeks then started experimenting, eating more. Then I completely went out of control for a couple of weeks and reverted to my pre shrinked habits. When my weight was 2.5 kgs up I stopped, went back to my program. I think I’m back on track , I have lost the 2.5 plus another kilo from when I wrote to you last time. I would love to hear about other options so that I don’t go on the same scary path next time I get stuck!
